State Teaching Job Initiatives

The Virginia Department of Education publishes information regarding education job recruitment fairs, individual school division websites, and TeachVirginia, an online job bank of teaching jobs in Virginia. The TeachVirginia website also includes information on critical shortage areas for Virginia teaching jobs, as well as resources for teacher certification, career switchers, and special education.  The Virginia Department of Education also posts its own job listings and resources for teachers.

Benefits & Retirement

All Virginia public employees are required to become members of the Virginia Retirement System (VRS).
