State Teaching Job Initiatives

The Pennsylvania Department of Education runs Teaching in Pennsylvania Schools (TIPS), an online searchable database of available teaching positions in Pennsylvania. TIPS allows individuals in search of Pennsylvania teaching jobs to browse education jobs by region and specialty, and to submit applications and resumes for school recruiters to view. The Department of Education also maintains its own Education Job Vacancies in Pennsylvania website, which lists both teaching jobs and non-professional jobs at Pennsylvania schools. The National School Applications Network runs a similar service called the Pennsylvania School Applications Network (PAREAP), which was created through a partnership with several Pennsylvania school districts, but is not run by the Pennsylvania Department of Education. In addition to providing daily updates for listings of available teaching jobs, administrative positions, support services positions, and instructional support positions, PAREAP publishes information on job fairs for careers in education in Pennsylvania.
